NELL JAMES PUBLISHERS is a small, independent publisher, passionate about bringing awareness to health issues and social causes with our non-fiction list, as well as creating a space for unique voices in fiction and poetry. Like many publishing companies, your manuscript undergoes the very best treatment with professional copy-editing, expert cover design, skilled typesetting and rigorous marketing (we do not charge any author fees). Your book will be available to buy on international online retail sites (Amazon, Waterstones, WHSmith, The Book Depository) and we publish all our books in paperback and for the Kindle.

We are currently commissioning non-fiction support books. From pregnancy to dementia, if you are an expert in a particular field and are interested in writing a support book to help others, then please visit our submission page for our proposal form.

We also provide a book proposal review service, where we evaluate your proposal and sample chapter, and provide a two-page report on how it can be improved along with suggestions for suitable publishers (if your proposal is ready to submit to publishers). The cost for this evaluation service is £35 (paid in advance).
